Decisions, decisions

Well, I'm at a very small crossroads. Let me give to you the facts first (in convenient list form), and then I'll tell what I'm pondering about.

- still jobless, but looking
- don't like my basement place
- have actually spent more time at home than the place I'm paying for
- have more friends and things to do in Missoula than at home
- I have most of my stuff stored at home, and only what I really need day to day at the basement place

Here are the multiple questions I'm asking myself:

Should I stick it out in the creepy basement and look for jobs/homes in Missoula?
Should I save the cash and go back home and STILL look for jobs/homes in Missoula?
Should I save the cash, go back home, and look for job there?
Should I try to stay with some other folks in Missoula and wait it out there?

The end of the month is quickly approaching and I need to make a decision. Really truly, I want to get the *bleep* out of that basement. You guys, I know I sound like the biggest wuss/diva/scaredy cat on the planet, but it so creeps me out. Obviously, I'd be saving money at home because I wouldn't be paying anything in rent or bills. I'll still be looking for work, and I can still look in Missoula, it will just be less convinent. It might be wiser anyway to stick around home just because my major goal right now is to save money, so the less outward expendature I have, the better. I don't know. Suggestions? Comments? Messages of suck it up? Leave 'em at the beep. :)

Well, those are all tough questions, but it's good you're looking at all your options. If you can deal with it, I'd say go home. There is a definite advantage to having no bills while your on your job hunt. Good luck!

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

Sounds like a toughie. After college I moved back home even though it wasn't the best situation and stuck it out while searching for a job and then saving til I was able to move out. At least you have several options to consider and I hope you come to the best decision for you soon!

I kinda can relate to you and if you ask me, at this point, with how the economy is, I think it's best to be with family who can help you while you try to find a job. Less expense at your end. Best of luck!

Happy Saturday Sharefest:) My vote, is to do whatever will save you money. If I could go back in time I would have taken better advantage of the opportunity to stay at home instead of rushing to get as far away as possible:)

Plain and simple - listen to your gut. It got me through a year of crap to (what appears to be) a great job in an ideal location. Just do what feels right and it'll work.

Oh, and friends are priceless. I'd go there ;)

Oh hope that you find your answers. It's a tough decision. Are there many jobs in your hometown??

I would do whatever is the most comfortable and cheapest. If you hate home, then you'll be even more miserable than the basement.

Hey sweets wish I had the magic words, but saving money is always a good thing. If you can go back home and you like it there I say go back and save the money. You'll never know what will happen next. No need staying somewhere you don't like.
